I wonder if this GreenThumb guide and related events are on our (ansley’s) radar? I’m intrigued about the Butterfly NYC Project and the butterfly workshop May 11th in the Bronx. Website seems a little outdated but lists nursery that may have the milkweed and other plants we’ll need.

Butterfly Project NYC Native Plant Giveaway and Workshop

Join Bronx Green-Up/The New York Botanical Garden and the Butterfly Project NYC to learn more about the connections between native plants and pollinators and how to encourage them in urban landscapes. Plants will be available for planting in schoolyards, community gardens, and other public spaces while supplies last.
