March 2012

It’s time to conjure up Spring! Join CVEarthlab members in the community room on Sunday February 8th between 11:45am and 1:15pm to start seeds in sub-irrigated planters.

We’ll supply organic, non-GMO vegetable seeds and flower seeds plus wicking and labeling material; bring your own potting soil, a pair of scissors and a few empty 1.5-2 liter water bottles. You’re welcome to bring your own seeds; please note we’re focusing on organic, non-GMO plants and pollinator-friendly materials. To that end, we aim to transplant organic, non-GMO plants into the CVEarthlab garden and to avoid use of chemical pesticides.

Will you join CVEarthlab for the new season? All CV residents are welcome to become members of the 2015 communal garden. We ask members to donate $25. and 3 bags of mulch (per household), plus contribute time and muscle watering, tending and maintaining the space over the course of the season. Checks can be made out to CVOI.  Learn more here.

RSVPs appreciated!  Send a note to cvearthlab@gmail.com or post a comment here by Sunday morning, please. Thanks!
