The snow and cold temps have postponed CV MulchFest. The event will now be held Saturday January 13th. Please save the date!
Calling All Movers + Shakers!
While it is fun and festive to watch (and smell!) the wood chipper chomp holiday trees, the primary goal of this event is to turn our trees into safety surfacing for the play area fall zones.* Like a barn raising or a swarm build, the idea is to pool our collective strength and quickly execute a very big job. Move Mulch From 11:30 am to 12:30 pm
Many hands make for light work; please sign up here to pitch in. Volunteers are most needed to move mulch from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. (You can work for a shorter amount of time, and the job may not even take a full hour if we have 6+ volunteers.)

Sip Cider, Watch The Chipping From 10am to 11:30pm
Less labor-intensive volunteer opportunities include serving hot cider, coffee and apple cider donuts from the local farmer’s market. Of course, we hope you will also donate your tree, participate in the Guess How Many Trees? contest, check out the unique community happening, and encourage others to participate.
Co-sponsored by the Children’s Committee and the Recycling and Sustainability Committee, this event is fueled by volunteers. Thanks for your support!

*Mulch is used all over CV, including in landscaped and dog relief areas, as ground cover, but the play area fall zones require significantly more depth.
