An updated List of April Garden Events is below. We had incorrectly listed an upcoming planting event; the list is corrected and flower transplanting will take place on Sat April 28th at 10am. Please note the upcoming gardening opportunities and events.*
Sat April 21st, 10am We’re planning a kid-friendly garden workday, starting at 10am. We’ll do some planting (patty pan squash) and transplanting, organize around the newly assembled raised bed, move soil and more! (In case of rain, this will take place in the morning on Sun Ap 22nd)
Sat April 28, 10am After we collect our order from the GrowNYC plant sale, we’ll need to transplant the flowers and herbs. If Sat calls for rain, we will try to do this on evening of Fri Ap 27.
Wednesday Evenings In May Starting on Wed May 2nd, from 5:30 to 6:30pm, we’ll hold standing meetings in the garden to plant, transplant and demonstrate watering. This applies to Wed May 2, May 9, May 16, and May 23rd.
In mid-May, (or a little later) we’ll the transplant tomatoes, peppers and flowers that we started from seed into the garden beds.
CVEarthlab is Concord Village’s community garden inside the Children’s Play Area behind 195 Adams St. All residents are welcome to get involved! Please join us at an event, or sign up on the watering sked to commit to water the plants in May — or even pay membership dues for the 2018 Spring, Summer + Fall season. Send a message to cvearthlab@gmail.com with questions, please. Thank you!

*Don’t miss any gardening opportunities! If you use a gmail calendar, you can subscribe to the CVEarthlab google calendar by clicking the calendar icon on CVEarthlab.com (This is not the same as following the blog via email notifications, which is also recommended. Subscribing to the calendar means the CVEarthlab events will show up on your google calendar.)
