After we collect our order from Friday’s GrowNYC plant sale, we’ll need to transplant the beautiful flowers and herbs. Gardeners will be working outside Saturday 4.28 from 10am to 12 noon. Please join us!
RSVPs to cvearthlab@gmail.com are appreciated, especially if your group includes small kids. We save the easiest, fastest, and most fun tasks for them!
CVEarthlab is CV’s community garden inside the Children’s Play Area behind 195 Adams St. All residents are welcome to get involved. Please join us at this or an upcoming event, or sign up on the watering schedule to commit to water the plants in May. (The Children’s Play Area is closed for reseeding, but we’ll have limited access to the garden corner for planting and plant care.)
Even if you cannot stay to transplant, Saturday morning is an opportunity to stop by, smell the flowers, and drop off your 2018 membership dues. The suggested annual donation, $25 per family or $10 per individual, helps cover the cost of organic soil and other materials. Write out checks to CVOI with CVEarthlab in the subject line, please. Find more details on annual expenses for the self-funded project here.
Thank you! -Shari, Sandy, Judith and Denise, CVEarthlab Core Garden Group
PS: More gardening events are scheduled for Wed evenings in May. Find details here.
