10am – 12noon Sat: Help Transplant New Flowers + Herbs!

27 Apr

Cosmos

We collected gorgeous French and African marigolds, cosmos, petunia, bee balm, basil, parsley, rosemary and more at GrowNYC’s plant sale today. The goodies are ready for transplanting!

Please join us at 10am this Saturday. While RSVPs to CVEarthlab@gmail.com are appreciated, we can always use extra hands for a quick 10 minute stint — don’t hesitate to pop in.  No green thumbs required.

CVEarthlab is CV’s community garden inside the Children’s Play Area behind 195 Adams St. All residents are welcome to get involved!

Spring is finally here and our growing season is well underway. Saturday morning is an opportunity to submit your 2018 membership dues.  The suggested donation ($25 per family or $10 per individual) will help cover the cost of organic soil and other materials. Write out Checks made out to CVOI should indicate CVEarthlab in note line. Can’t make it? We’ll be gardening, watering, hardening off plants and trouble-shooting seedling issues Wednesday evenings in May, from 5:30 to 6:30pm.  Hope to see you soon!

Thanks. –-Judith, Denise, Shari & Sandy, CV Earthlab Core Group
