Wednesdays in May starts today! Join gardeners outside from 6pm to 7pm to water, share indoor seedling care and hardening off tips, and planting.
Little hands can water, observe progress, help count plant leaves and enjoy the beautiful weather. Families with seedlings at home can get plant care advice. All residents are welcome!
Wednesdays in May
Through Wed May 23rd, gardeners will be outside answering questions and tending to garden plants from 6 to 7pm. RSVPs to CVEarthlab@gmail.com are suggested but not required. Please let us know if you are bringing something from your windowsill to transplant or to “harden-off” prior to transplant. (Most indoor seedlings must be exposed to the elements gradually before they go into the ground.) Send questions to CVEarthlab@gmail.com or come by.
Located inside the Children’s Play Area behind 195 Adams Street, CVEarthlab is a volunteer-led and self-funded communal, child-friendly garden. We offer amazing opportunities for adults and children to learn about their environment and the plants and animals that inhabit it with them; to grow and enjoy fresh produce; and to share meals, knowledge and experiences with neighbors with a wide variety of backgrounds in gardening. Wednesday evening is one chance you’ll have to submit your 2018 membership dues. The suggested donation ($25 per family or $10 per individual) helps cover the cost of soil and other materials. Write out checks to CVOI and indicate CVEarthlab in note line.
Thank you. -Judith, Shari, Sandy, and Denise, Core Members
