We have two Gardening Wednesdays in May left! (There’s no official gathering on the Wed after Memorial Day.)
Wonder what you are missing? See these shots and come out for the next one. We welcome all residents, especially those who are interested in getting involved in CVEarthlab.com, the community gardening project at Concord Village. These Wednesdays in May offer an opportunity to:
- Drop off a plant that you started at a winter gardening workshop
- See what we’re growing this year
- Pay annual membership dues
- Show kids a vegetable garden where they can water, help grow food, find worms
- Check out the kitchen herbs and hot peppers in the standing raised beds that all CV residents are invited to sample. (These are in the standing raised beds outside the play area fence and the standing raised bed behind 225 Adams).
We’ll be outside watering and planning Wednesday May 16 and May 23rd, from 5:30pm until 7pm. Come by with your plants, your kids, your questions, or your annual dues. All residents — with and without small children — are welcome, and very interested ones are encouraged to join the garden committee for the 2018 season.
Located inside the Children’s Play Area behind 195 Adams Street, CVEarthlab is a volunteer-led, self-funded communal and child-friendly garden. We offer opportunities for adults and children to learn about their environment and the plants and animals that inhabit it with them; to grow and enjoy fresh produce; and to share meals, knowledge and experiences with neighbors with a wide variety of backgrounds in gardening. Thank you. -Judith, Shari, Sandy, and Denise, Core Members
