See Captive Monarch Caterpillar in Crysalis

11 Jul

Take two, with images!

It’s hard to see, but the Monarch caterpillar that I captured and put in a habitat “cage” last week has transformed to crysalis stage. In a couple of weeks, she will emerge as a Monarch butterfly and migrate toward Mexico!

Exciting that CV native milkweed supports this at-risk species! Thanks to Maura, Tom, Liam and Griffin for lending the habitat. -Denise
