Reminder to RSVP if you are coming to the Seed-Starting Workshop this Friday, March 6th, in the community room from 6pm to 7pm.
Please join us!
Spring is just around the corner. At this indoor planting workshop, we will start seeds for plants — such as tomatoes, peppers, and flowers, that need time to grow — and then nurture them in the window sills of our homes. In late May or early June we will transplant the baby plants into the CVEarthlab raised beds (inside the children’s play area behind 195 Adams St.).
Residents of All-Ages Are Welcome!
All residents, including those with and those without small children, are most welcome to participate.
How the Seed-Starting Workshop Works
CVEarthlab gardeners will provide non-GMO, organic vegetable and flower seeds, organic potting soil and guidance. You bring a small pot or an empty plastic bottle (to convert into a sub-irrigated, self-watering planter). A suggested donation of $2., and an RSVP are requested.
Hint: We’ve found that the design and plastic thickness of Vintage brand one-liter seltzer bottles work best for planters.
Thanks!
