Today at 6:30pm – Plant with us!

2 Mar

Even though there is snow on the ground, we are thinking spring!!!

All are welcome to join CVEarthlab gardeners to start seeds in the community room TODAY!
Free Planting Workshop
Saturday March 2nd, 6:30-7:45pm in the 230 Jay St Community room

Flowers, Tomatoes, and More!
As in years before, the garden committee will provide seeds and help participants create sub-irrigated planters from upcycled plastic bottles. Please bring your own organic potting soil if you plan to transplant into the CVEarthlab garden (we use only non-GMO seeds and organic materials). If you’d like to plant in self-watering planters, please try to bring empty seltzer bottles.
Most flowers and plants started at this workshop will be transplanted in May and June. During May, we plan to hold weekly Wed evening sessions in the garden to help new gardeners hard-off baby plants and prepare them for transplant.
RSVPs due to cvearthlab@gmail.com. Please let us know if you need help with supplies!
