What is growing in the garden? Lots of things!

17 Jul

The hot, sunny days have helped start our cucumbers and move other things to harvest stage! There are herbs in the raised beds outside of the play area fence towards 195 Adams St and near 270 Jay St for all residents to take anytime. Want to get involved? Email us at cvearthlab@gmail.com

Plant with us today @ 1pm

5 May

We are going to take advantage of the continued nice weather and plant seeds (lettuce & arugula), and more flower and herbs from the plant sale.  Denise may also get some surprises from another sale at Old Stone House – let’s see what she finds.  All are welcome to join us today, Saturday 5/5 at 1pm!  Little hands can water, observe progress, help count plant leaves and enjoy the beautiful weather.

CVEarthlab is CV’s community garden inside the Children’s Play Area behind 195 Adams St. All residents are welcome to get involved. (The Children’s Play Area is closed for reseeding, but we’ll have limited access to the garden corner for planting and plant care.)

Thank you! -Shari, Sandy, Judith and Denise, CVEarthlab Core Garden Group

Thank you for a great 2017 season!

17 Nov

Thanks to all who help us winterize the garden last weekend.  We may have covered everything up but there are cover crops planted to nourish the soil in the spring, and garlic is planted for harvesting next summer!  And there are still radishes growing in in the covered bed!  We will be planning away during the off season and starting seeds in February or so…. watch for announcements.  Happy Holidays!

New this year, per the exterminator:
If you are thinking about a garden donation in kind, please contact the office or send an email to CVearthlab@gmail.com first, do not leave it in the garden area.

Pot clutter is too inviting to rodents so we aren’t able to keep small/unplanned pots as per management and the exterminator.
